Gotham Cheer Shines at the First-Ever Bayonne Pride Festival

History was made in Bayonne, New Jersey, as the city came together to celebrate its first-ever Pride Festival—and Gotham Cheer was honored to bring our energy, spirit to the occasion!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Families, neighbors, and allies lined to celebrate love, acceptance, and visibility in their community. As performers, we felt that energy in every cheer, every dance, and every smile shared with the crowd.

Pride events are more than just performances for us—they’re an opportunity to stand tall as LGBTQIA+ athletes and allies, to show what teamwork and community look like in action, and to remind everyone watching that we are stronger when we lift each other up. The Bayonne Pride Festival gave us the chance to do just that, in a city making history by hosting its very first celebration.

We’re deeply grateful to Bayonne Pride Heritage of Pride for inviting us to be part of such a milestone event. Seeing the community come together with so much joy and unity was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do—and why Pride matters everywhere, big or small.
