Brooklyn Community Pride Center
Each year, Gotham Cheer chooses 1-2 local charities that benefit and empower NYC’s LGBTQIA+ youth. We provide volunteers to assist the chosen nonprofits and their programs, promote them year-round to increase awareness and visibility, and create fundraisers to support their ongoing work.
This year, we're proud to support the Brooklyn Community Pride Center (BCPC)! By joining forces, we aim to inspire others to support this essential organization that empowers and uplifts the LGBTQ+ community across Brooklyn, promoting acceptance, wellness and belonging. We hope you'll join us in supporting the Brooklyn Community Pride Center's important work!
Since 2008, the BCPC has served LGBTQ+ folks, from Brighton Beach to Brownsville to Bushwick and beyond, in Brooklyn. They are a home to innovative and impactful programs like Brooklyn GHOST Project (Black and Brown trans community), GRIOT Circle (Black and Brown LGBTQ+ elders), Trans formative Schools (trans youth), and many others, ensuring these groups have free access to a space to provide life-affirming services.
Sage
SAGE is a group of centers in New York focused on advocacy, visibility and services for LGBTQ+ elders and is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults. Each location—the Bronx, Brooklyn, Harlem, Midtown, and Staten Island—has a distinct style, and each presents a unique way to experience all SAGE has to offer, including: free or low-cost meals, daily cultural & social events, home visiting, assistance for military veterans, program for elders living with HIV/AIDS, computer & internet access at CyberCenters, support groups, and of course health, financial, and social services.
Community Partners

Support out Partners
At Gotham, we genuinely care about our local community charities and they continue to inspire us to get involved.
Our members are a volunteer force that helps New York City by going above and beyond cheerleading in various ways from outreach to the elderly, youth development, and fighting the stigmas associated with homelessness and HIV
